More about
Vaginal Moisturizers
These are a gentle, effective first step—or companion—to estrogen therapy. They’re easy to use, widely available, and particularly helpful for women not yet ready for or interested in hormonal treatment.
Vaginal moisturizers replenish hydration in vaginal tissue, helping with dryness, irritation, and pH balance.
Unlike lubricants, which are used during sex, moisturizers are used routinely (2–3x/week) to support the health of the vaginal walls and restore comfort. Many use hyaluronic acid, aloe, or water-based formulas. Some are compatible with vaginal estrogen.
Avoid scented or petroleum-based products; may not be enough on their own if tissue thinning is severe
Mild irritation if sensitive to ingredients; should not burn
Apply 2–3 times a week (or as needed) using an applicator or clean finger. Use at bedtime for best absorption.
Replens, Hyalo Gyn, Reverie, Bonafide Revaree (hyaluronic acid)
